Retaining our humanity in an AI-driven world.

Our Vision

Our vision is a world where people feel alive and energised, free from the effects of harmful technology.

We defend the rights of children to enjoy their childhood - to grow up naturally, develop healthily and interact socially without needing screens.

Our Mission

Our mission is to inspire change makers and young leaders globally to show others how to break free of digital dependencies and addictions and restore humanity back into the heart of how we speak, write and live.

We do this by speaking out publicly and building a community of parents, educators and corporate supporters. We require governments to develop strict regulations that provide safe spaces for children’s digital wellbeing that protect them equally well, if not better, than in the real world. We require governments and businesses to elevate the needs of people ahead of technology.

Our Values

Preserving and elevating real human skills, knowledge and experience

Applying humanitarian principles and ecological protection as the baseline for ethical technology

Promoting face-to-face interaction as a preference in homes, workplaces and schools

Recognising productivity and efficiency as measures for machines not human beings

Treating our planet with care and leaving it better as a legacy to future generations

Maintaining zero tolerance for discrimination against humans

Meet Jane

A woman with long blonde hair, dressed in a black coat, stands with her hands pressed together near her chin, looking contemplative against a blurred green outdoor background.

Jane Newman started out in the IT industry as a tenured lecturer in Business Information Systems at RMIT University in Australia, teaching in Melbourne as well as Singapore.

Most recently, she was the National Manager of Information and Analytics for an Australian consultancy. She has studied data science and is certified in the Ethics of AI. She's been performed most roles within software development, and spent 20 years as an Enterprise and Solutions Architect specialising in information and data architecture and information governance.

Jane’s worked across many major government and corporate software projects across Australia and the UK. Highlights include the new Queensland Children’s Hospital, the 2018 Commonwealth Games, Queensland’s integrated Justice Information System, the electronic exchange of GP Referrals to Queensland Health hospitals, and Inland Rail, one of the largest rail infrastructure projects in the world.

She is now an internationally certified speaker and the founder of Re-Humanising, a movement that questions the costs of our unhealthy addiction to screen-based living, the impact on children and the environment.

Jane is based in Seoul working on a start-up business addressing digital wellbeing for socially isolated young people. She enjoys the colour and vibrancy of living in South Korea, returning to Australia regularly to visit family and enjoy the endless beaches and wilderness with paintbrush, camera or book to hand.
